June 15th - Week 9

1st X1 were indebted to Simon Woodcock (72) and Jonathan Prince (78) who came together after three quick wickets had fallen. Needing 208 for victory they took Madeley to within sight of victory before they both fell. Forton's Chris Sayers took four of the five wickets but lacked any real support.

2nd X1 ended their winning run when they were defeated at home by Beacon. Lucas Bladen (46) and Shaun Welch (32) enabled Madeley to reach 155 for 6. This just wasn't anyhere near enough as Beacon got home with 6 wickets in hand.

3rd X1 put up a good fight but eventually went down by 2 wickets. Steve Jackson was the star performer scoring 40 and then snaffling 4 wickets.
