This week a new look team travelled the short distance just over the water to our near neighbours Broseley. Once again Oddy lost the toss and we were invited to bat on a very green looking track. We were soon in trouble at 30 - 4 until Oddy and Oggy put a partnership together and took the score to mid 60's then debutant Harry Thomas joined his skipper and supported him well. Our total was quite decent with the track playing up with variable bounce, 120 was a total that could possibly win the game. Madeley were indebted to Oddy who batted well finishing on 65 before he was excellently caught by the ever agile Garth Cooper who was guesting for the oppostion.

 

Kieran and Lee Bowen opened the bowling and once they had gained the right line and length bowled swiftly and accurately and had reduced the home team to 38 - 3 when the heavens opened and ended the day's play.
